The newly deployed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Hajia Adenike Ibrahim, has called for a harmonious working relationship among staff of the ministry in order to achieve its cabinet responsibilities.
Ibrahim made the appeal during her maiden meeting with the workers on Monday at the ministry’s conference room, Ilorin.
“The state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is a business man with good innovations, one who is ready to make things work.
“We have to work in unity so the vision of the present administration for the solid minerals sector could be realised,” she urged.
She advised all staffers to make use of the work plan schedule in order to achieve the set goals and objectives of the ministry, promising to make the work plan a huge success.
“We need to work out more channels for revenue generation, to convince His Excellency of our commitment and dedication to work, in order for him to assist us to continually do the needful in the interest of the state.
“I charge you all to always come up with meaningful ideas that will project the image of the ministry and Kwara State at large,” Ibrahim said.
The permanent secretary appreciated the management team and other members of staff of the ministry with a promise to work in synergy with them for effective service delivery.
Earlier, the Director, Solid Minerals Development, Mallam Sanusi Sule, applauded the state government for its interest in the affairs of the ministry, assuring her of effective working relationship and cooperation.
Also, the Director of Finance and Supply, Mr Abu Gana, thanked the new permanent secretary for considering it necessary to meet the staff, while pledging to justify the confidence reposed in them.
